The method comprises the steps of carrying out the block 2-level DWT transformation on the Y component of each frame of an original video, establishing the data block characteristic codes based on the secret keys in a transformation domain, and crosswise embedding the characteristic watermarks in the low-frequency sub-bands of other blocks based on the secret keys; adopting a mode of quantifying the first principal element information distribution proportion when the watermarks are embedded; at authentication, determining the authenticity of the content of the data blocks by comparing the reconstructed characteristics and the correspondingly recovered watermarks, and combining the characteristics of the adjacent domains.
