The implementation method of an interface function includes the steps: when a communication interface of the communication equipment is not provided with a function module corresponding to the interface function; according to the interface of the communication interface, creating a virtual network card corresponding to the communication equipment, and setting a virtual communication interface corresponding to the communication interface on the virtual network card; by means of a forwarding module of upper connection equipment, sending an interface state setting request aiming at the virtual communication interface to a forwarding module of the communication equipment so as to enable the communication equipment to set the interface state of the communication interface; by means of the forwarding module of the upper connection equipment, receiving a protocol message which is sent through the forwarding module of the communication equipment and is matched with the interface state, of the communication equipment; and by means of the function module of the upper connection equipment, processing the protocol message.
