The invention provides a consistency group snapshot management method and device. The method is applied to storage equipment and comprises the steps that a creation instruction for a consistency group snapshot time point with a snapshot creation timestamp is received; a target writing and copying management area of which the timestamp is equal to or larger than the snapshot creation timestamp and has a smallest difference with the snapshot creation timestamp in a storage area is sought; and a snapshot record corresponding to the snapshot creation timestamp is created in a time point management area, wherein the snapshot record comprises the snapshot creation timestamp and position information of the sought target writing and copying management area in the storage area. Due to the fact that the creation of the consistency group snapshot time point does not have correlation with the data copying moments of all members in a consistency group any more, the members do not need to delay front end traffic when the consistency group snapshot time point is created, and therefore time delay of the consistency group members on service traffic can be effectively reduced.
