Abstract

The invention provides a chair which can suppress size increase of a body supporting part and furthermore can ensure enough moving stroke of the body supporting part. The chair (1) of the invention is provided with the components of a body supporting part (2) which supports body of a user; and actuators (10) which make the body supporting part (2) move in a direction which comprises a left direction component and a right direction component. The actuators (10) are paired in a left-and-right direction can perform individual independent motion. Furthermore the actuator (10) uses the direction which is approximately perpendicular with the left-and-right direction as an action direction. Furthermore the actuators are arranged at sides of the body supporting part (2).
