The network selection method comprises the following steps that the CEP obtains the current work mode of the terminal, determines or obtains the network slice type corresponding to the current work mode according to the terminal access strategy and queries an NSMF to obtain information of a target network slice of the terminal. The invention also provides the corresponding network node. According to the network slice selection method, the strategy generation method and the network node, the appropriate network slice can be selected to provide the services for the terminal according to the terminal access strategy, so that the differentiated business requirements of the terminal are met, and the user experience is improved.
