The strategy generation method comprises the following steps that a CEP obtains information of business requirements of a terminal under different work modes and information of business requirements which can be met by different network slice types and generates a terminal access strategy, wherein the terminal access strategy includes correspondence between the work modes of the terminal and the network slice types. The network selection method comprises the following steps that the CEP obtains the current work mode of the terminal, determines or obtains the network slice type corresponding to the current work mode according to the terminal access strategy and queries an NSMF to obtain information of a target network slice of the terminal. The invention also provides the corresponding network node. According to the network slice selection method, the strategy generation method and the network node, the appropriate network slice can be selected to provide the services for the terminal according to the terminal access strategy, so that the differentiated business requirements of the terminal are met, and the user experience is improved.
