Embodiment Construction

[0068] Various embodiments of the present invention provide a cluster architecture supporting scalable centralized NVMe storage boxes, wherein the scalable centralized NVMe storage boxes can be shared among scalable nodes. The scalable centralized NVMe storage box includes an NVMe hard disk, at least one switch, and at least one switch port. The number of NVMe hard disks in the scalable centralized NVMe storage box can be increased or decreased according to the number of nodes sharing the scalable centralized NVMe storage box.

[0069] Figure 1A Shown is a schematic block diagram of an exemplary system 100A including a storage subsystem 102 (eg, a scalable centralized NVMe storage box) and multiple nodes (eg, server system 101 ) according to some embodiments of the present invention. In this embodiment, the storage subsystem 102 includes one or more receiving power supply units (PSUs) 122, and the power supply units 122 receive AC power from the power supply 120 and provide p...

Abstract

Various examples of the present technology provide a cluster-architecture to support a scalable pooled-NVMe storage box that can be shared among a scalable number of nodes. The scalable pooled-NVMe storage box comprises NVMe drives, one or more switches and one or more switch ports. The number of NVMe drives in the scalable scalablepooled-NVMe storage box can be scaled up or down based upon a number of nodes that need to share the scalable pooled-NVMe storage box.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to storage systems in telecommunication networks. Background technique [0002] The capacity of SATA (Serial At Attachment) hard drives and the Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCIs) have surpassed the development speed of processors. At the same time, the increase in the amount of data also requires more efficient storage design. In order to meet the data storage and processing speed requirements of enterprises and individual users, non-volatile memory (Non-Volatile Memory Express, hereinafter referred to as NVMe) is developed for various applications of data. Some NVMe SSDs can be concentrated in NVMe storage boxes to improve the efficiency of the data center (for example, the power supply and cooling unit can be shared among the SSDs of the NVMe storage box). [0003] However, how to improve the scalability of NVMe storage boxes remains a challenge. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [0004] Systems and methods accordin...
