First, registration or residence information in personal mobile terminals of persons in distress is searched by using a personal wireless network simulated by unmanned aerial vehicles, information searched by different unmanned aerial vehicles is interacted through an unmanned aerial vehicle self-organizing network formed by communication modules of the vehicles, then information of identity and geographical positions of persons in distress is calculated and determined according to information of persons in distress acquired by unmanned aerial vehicles independently, and finally, combined information is returned to a ground station of a rescue center through a long-distance return module of a return unmanned aerial vehicle. According to the method and system, multiple different communication modules of the unmanned aerial vehicles are used to search and rescue persons in distress in a large range accurately and efficiently.
