The picture searching method comprises the steps of obtaining the name of a picture to be searched for and equipment information; generating a searching path of the picture to be searched for and conducting searching according to the name of the picture to be searched for and the equipment information; generating a searching path of an address file of the picture to be searched for and conducting searching if searching of the picture to be searched for fails, wherein the storage address information of the picture to be searched for is stored in the address file; reusing the same address file stored in multiple sets of equipment of the same picture to be searched for; renewing the searching path of the picture to be searched for according to the storage address information and conducting searching if searching of the address file succeeds. According to the picture searching method and device, by obtaining the content in the address file, reusing of pictures in other equipment can be achieved, therefore a path judgment branch in a program can be avoided, and readability and convenience of operation of modification are further improved.
