Embodiment Construction

[0032] Hereinafter, a computer program for causing a computer to control an object operation in an immersive virtual space and a computer system for operating an object in an immersive virtual space according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the same symbols are attached to the same components.

[0033] figure 1 It is an overall schematic diagram of an HMD system 100 using a head-mounted display (hereinafter referred to as "HMD") according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the HMD system 100 includes an HMD main body 110 , a computer (control circuit unit) 120 , a position tracking camera (position sensor) 130 , and an external controller 140 .

[0034] HMD 110 includes display 112 and sensor 114 . The display 112 is a non-transmissive display device configured to completely cover the user's field of view, and the user can observe only the screen displayed on the dis...

Abstract

The present invention provides a novel object manipulation mode in which the head motion of a Head-Mounted Display (HMD) body is associated with manipulation of an object arranged in an immersive three-dimensional virtual space. A computer program for causing a computer to function as: a visual-field determination unit for determining visual-field information in a virtual space on the basis of head inclination information detected by an inclination sensor provided to a head-mounted display connected to the computer; an image generation unit for generating a visual-field image of the virtual space for display on the head-mounted display on the basis of the visual-field information; an object specification unit for specifying an object arranged on a reference line-of-sight in the virtual space, the reference line-of-sight being determined in correlation with the prescribed position of the visual-field image; and an object manipulation unit for executing, in response to the object specification, a manipulation on the specified object in accordance with a head-inclining motion along a prescribed direction of the head-mounted display.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a computer program and a computer system for controlling the operation of objects in an immersive virtual space. More specifically, it relates to making it possible to operate an object arranged in an immersive virtual space by operating an HMD head using a head-mounted display (HMD) worn on the user's head and operating a controller held by the user. Computer-controlled computer programs and computer systems. Background technique [0002] It is known that an HMD is worn on a user's head and can present an image in a virtual space to the user using a display or the like placed in front of the user's eyes. In particular, an HMD as disclosed in Patent Document 1 can display a 360-degree panorama image in a three-dimensional virtual space. Such an HMD generally includes various sensors (such as an acceleration sensor and an angular velocity sensor) to measure posture data of the HMD body. In particular, it is possible t...
