Abstract

The present invention provides a balancing apparatus for allowing quick electric power transmission while balancing without wasting electric power. The battery stack balancing apparatus, which balances a battery stack comprising serially connected multiple battery modules, according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a serial resonant circuit comprising a first capacitor and a first inductor serially connected to the first capacitor; a polarity-changing circuit, which comprises a second inductor and a polarity-changing switch serially connected to the second inductor and selectively turned on or off and is parallelly connected to the first capacitor; multiple transmission lines having one end respectively and electrically connected to multiple nodes, which are formed respectively at the low-potential end of the battery stack, at the high-potential end of the battery stack, and between the serially connected multiple battery modules, and having the other end connected to the serial resonant circuit; multiple transmission switches installed respectively on the multiple transmission lines and selectively turned on or off; and a control unit for controlling the multiple transmission switches and the polarity-changing switch.
