Abstract

The application provides a message forwarding method and device which are applied to Hub-Spoke networking. The networking comprises a Hub-VTEP (Hub VXLAN Tunnel End Point) and a plurality of Spoke-VTEPs, and the Hub-VTEP is connected with the Spoke-VTEPs by VXLAN (Virtual eXtensible Local Area Network) tunnels. The method comprises the steps that: the Hub-VTEP receives a tunnel message sent by a source Spoke-VTEP, and records an incoming interface of the tunnel message on local equipment; and by other interfaces on the local equipment except for the incoming interface, forwarding the tunnel message to other Spoke-VTEPs besides the source Spoke-VTEP. By utilizing method, in a Hub-Spoke networking mode based on a VXLAN, not only can messages among all the Spoke-VTEPs be uniformly managed, but also intercommunication and two-layer data exchange among the Spoke-VTEPs can be normally completed, and excessive distribution of traffic and a loop cannot exist.
