A remote sensing estimation method for crop yield based on an adjustable vegetation index includes the following steps: acquiring multi-source and multi-temporal remote sensing observation data of crops in an area of which the crop yield is to be estimated in the growth period, determining the multi-temporal adjustable vegetation index of the crops based on the remote sensing observation data, andgetting the multi-temporal leaf area index LAI based on the remote sensing observation data through inversion; based on pre-obtained crop growth model prior data of an area, setting the input parameters and initial conditions of the crop growth model in the area, and repeatedly running the crop growth model to obtain multiple simulated LAI curves and corresponding crop yields; selecting multipleLAI curves of which similarity with the multi-temporal leaf area index LAI based on the remote sensing observation data is above 75%, fitting the LAI curves to get a fitted LAI curve, and taking the average of the crop yields corresponding to the LAI curves of which similarity with the multi-temporal leaf area index LAI is above 75% as the crop yield corresponding to the fitted LAI curve; and taking the crop yield as the estimated yield of the area.
