A system and method for a patch-like, self-contained substance infusion device which provides one or more substantially hidden patient needles which can be placed in fluid communication with a fluid reservoir subassembly that includes a rigid bladder portion used in conjunction with a non-distensible bladder film, such as a metallized film. Simple removal of an interlock allows a disk, or Belleville spring assembly to apply an essentially even and constant pressure to the contents of the fluid reservoir assembly, and allows the device to then be attached to a skin surface via an adhesive contact surface. A push button activation assembly is provided which can then be used to release and seat one or more spring-loaded patient needles into the skin surface, and establish a fluid communication path between the patient needles and the pressurized fluid reservoir contents thereby delivering an infusion into the skin.

A porous ceramic atomized cartridge contains a heating element, a porous ceramic wick, and the liquid to be vaporized removably concealed within the body of an electronic simulated smoking pipe. The present invention relates to a terminal for a communication system. The terminal comprises detector means that are arranged to detect if there is a contact between at least one surface of the terminal and the skin of the user of the terminal. The detection means comprise at least two different detector arrangements for detecting a contact between the terminal and the user. The detector arrangements each comprise independently operating sensor means (7, 8, 30). At least one function of the terminal is arranged to be controlled based on a signal generated by the detecting means in response to the detection. A method and system are disclosed for operating a controller of and a RKE system to provide for short distance functions that are actuatable from a key fob at a shorter distance from the vehicle than other long distance functions. This may include receiving a desired type of radio frequency signal; actuating a high gain mode of a receiver of the controller; detecting a message from an acceptable remote keyless entry transmitter; decoding a function code portion of the message; changing the receiver from the high gain mode to a lower gain mode if the function code is not a long distance function; decoding a remaining portion of the message; determining if the remaining portion of the message was decoded properly; and performing the requested function if the remaining portion of the message was decoded properly.

A lock-out assembly for a strapping tool prevents inadvertent actuation of the tool sealer cycle prior to completion of the tensioning cycle. The tool includes a pneumatic module having tensioning cycle and sealer cycle valves mounted therein. The valves are actuated by overlying levers. The lock-out assembly includes an arm operably mounted to the pneumatic module having a first engaging portion for engaging the tensioning valve lever and a second blocking portion for blocking the sealer valve lever. The arm is movable between a first position in which the tensioning valve lever is in the non-actuated position and the arm block portion interferes with movement of the sealer valve lever to prevent moving the sealer valve to the actuated position, and a second position in which the tensioning valve lever engages the arm engaging portion to move the arm blocking portion from interfering with the sealer valve lever to permit moving the sealer valve lever into contact with the sealer valve to move the sealer valve to the actuated position.

A running tool for a liner hanger has a mandrel supported by latch segments housed in a latch cage, the latch segments being engaged in the tubular portion of the hanger. In one mode, the latch cage is supported on latch shoulders temporarily restrained to the mandrel by a locking cylinder. Support of the latch cage ensures the latch segments remain engaged. Hydraulic actuation of the locking cylinder releases the latch shoulders, releasing the latch cage to move axially and disengage the latch segments. The mandrel is also supported using a drive housing axially engaging the liner hanger. If the hydraulic actuation fails, an indexed and relative reverse rotation of the mandrel releases the mandrel to lower through the drive housing and through the latch cage housing to the disengaged position. A barrel ratchet enables transmission of driving torque in one direction and ratcheting in a reverse direction.

The cover member includes an outer portion for covering the instrument when the base member is mounted to the structure and the cover member is in the lockout position.

The system includes a switch mounted on the hydraulic assembly tool and one or more signal connections between the switch and the hydraulic pressure source whereby activation of the switch causes the hydraulic pressure source to supply the pressurized hydraulic fluid to activate the hydraulic assembly tool.
