Problems solved by technology

For children with cerebral palsy, if the abnormality of the lower limbs is more serious, the neuromuscular and joints of the lower limbs need to cooperate with the limbs to perform walking movements as much as possible during walking, and will show unusual movement patterns, and the complexity of the signal will increase.
At present, in the evaluation of the GMFCS (GrossMotorFunction Classification System) grading scale, the basis for evaluating the walking ability of children is relatively rough based on the need for equipment and assistance in walking. For example, according to the GMFCS grading scale A patient who walks faster than normal without equipment and can walk independently has the same level of walking ability as a patient who walks more slowly and does not need equipment, however, in this case the patient has abnormalities in the lower extremities The degree is often inconsistent, and dividing these conditions into the same level is not conducive to the analysis and diagnosis of the patient's condition
Therefore, grading closely to the GMFCS evaluation criteria cannot make a more accurate grading of the children's walking function

Abstract

The invention provides a GMFCS based system and method for evaluating walking capability of cerebral palsy children. The method includes that a computer receives and stores first grading data input bya user; an electrophysiological collection device acquires a first sample entropy of a surface electromyogram signal of the left lower extremity of a capability of cerebral palsy child and a second sample entropy of a surface electromyogram signal of the right lower extremity, and sends the first sample entropy and the second sample entropy to the computer. The computer display a comparison result after comparing the sizes of the first sample entropy and the second sample entropy. The computer receives and stores second grading date input by the user when the display comparison result is thatthe first sample entropy is smaller than the second sample entropy. According to the invention, GMFCS and the sample entropys of the surface electromyogram signal of the lower extremity of the cerebral palsy child are combined together for grading of walking capability of the cerebral palsy child, so that grading accuracy can be improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of grading the walking ability of children with cerebral palsy, in particular to a system and method for evaluating the walking ability of children with cerebral palsy based on GMFCS. Background technique [0002] The gross motor function classification system (Gross Motor Function Classification System, GMFCS) is to divide the gross motor ability of different age groups of patients with cerebral palsy. There are four age groups, 4-6 years old, and 6-12 years old. In each age group, patients are divided into five grades: I, II, III, IV, and V according to their walking ability. Among them, level I means able to walk without restriction, but limited in completing more advanced motor skills; level II means walking without the use of assistive devices, but limited walking outdoors and in the community; level III means using assisted mobility devices Walking, limited outdoors and in the community; Class IV, lim...
