Abstract

A log likelihood ratio is calculated in the receiving terminal by comparing a constant error linear piecewise function to a hyperbolic function in an SC decoding solution rather than by using recursive calculation of a hyperbolic tangent function directly, that is, multiplication and summation operations replace log, exponential and division operations in the SC method.
