The main part of the ignition coil is an elasticO-ring (12), which is formed from an annular elastic resin material; when using said O-ring as a fixing means, a second cap (9) (on the second electrode side) of an electric noise suppressing resistor (10) is held and the gap occurring between the inner wall of the resistor housing (4) and the second cap (9) of the electric noise suppressing resistor (10) can be closed with a simple structure.
