Abstract

The invention discloses a function reconfigurable polarization transformer based on an active supersurface. The polarization transformer is composed of a medium substrate layer, an active supersurfacelayer and a metal floor layer. The active supersurface layer is composed of a plurality of same butterfly-shaped structure units. The butterfly-shaped structure units are arrayed on the upper surfaceof the medium substrate layer in a regular matrix at intervals. The metal floor layer is composed of a plurality of same strip-shaped metal sheets. The strip-shaped metal sheets are arrayed on the lower surface of the medium substrate layer in parallel at intervals. The medium substrate layer is provided with a plurality of metal via holes. Metal patches are all connected with the strip-shaped metal sheets under the metal patches through the corresponding metal via holes. By controlling the bias voltage of a variable capacitance diode, device functions are switched, the transformer has various functions of linear polarization deflection, elliptical polarization transformation, circular polarization transformation and the like, and the problem that a polarizer is monotonous in function issolved.
