The controller is respectively connected with a direct-current short-circuit control unit in each protection device, and is used for controlling the direct-current short-circuit control unit to be conducted so as to protect a multi-level converter module which does not generate a short-circuit fault of the power semiconductor device. The fast fuses are not connected in series in acircuit, while only a small power balanced current instead of a working current can pass. Therefore, the fast fuses do not need to be cooled. The fault can be prevented from being expanded, and the normal operation of a current transformer without faults can be guaranteed.
