The invention discloses application of elsholtzia volatile oil in anti-bacteria and antibiotic resistant bacteria. The elsholtzia volatile oil is extracted by steam distillation. The elsholtzia volatile oil has certain functions of killing and/or inhibiting growth on bacteria of staphylococcus, escherichia coli, candida, pseudomonas, enterobacter, streptococcus and the like and fungi. The elsholtzia volatile oil has certain functions of killing and/or inhibiting growth on bacteria of drug-resistant staphylococcus, drug-resistant escherichia coli, drug-resistant enterobacter, drug-resistant klebsiella, drug-resistant pseudomonas, drug-resistant acinetobacter, drug-resistant streptococcus, and drug-resistant enterococcus and the like.
