Abstract

The invention discloses video playing methods and devices, and belongs to the technical field of electronics. The method includes receiving a video playing request which is sent by a first terminal and used for obtaining a target video; reading the target video when terminals to which the target terminal is not sent exist in terminals requesting to obtain the target video before current system time and the reading time of the target video arrives, the reading time being determined based on receiving time of the video playing request sent by a second terminal and used for requesting the targetvideo, and the second terminal being the terminal which requests to obtain the target video at the earliest among the terminals to which the target video is not sent; and sending the read target videoto the first terminal and all terminals which request to obtain the target video and to which the target video is not sent before the reading time to make the first terminal and all terminals play the target video. The target video can only be read once during a video playing process, and therefore, the number of video reading can be reduced, and processing resources can be saved.
