Problems solved by technology

Or, even worse, non-professional users may have to rely on the immersive CAVE provider or its authorized suppliers to assist in the creation of the content
This narrows down the possible use of immersive CAVEs in the low to mid-range commercial market due to their high maintenance costs and long production times

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a system for implementing an immersive Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) (or called immersive virtual simulation system), wherein the proposed system includesa master server engine that is configured to enable multi-side electronic visual displays, and further includes a real-time motion tracking engine that is operatively coupled with the master server engine. The motion tracking engine can be configured to, in real-time, determine cyber-physical position data of at least one motion tracked object across X, Y, and Z coordinates using one or more motion track sensors that are operatively coupled to said real-time motion tracking engine, and enable generation of tracking data of said at least one tracked object based on said cyber-physical positiondata, said tracking data being used to integrate and 3D visualize said at least one tracked object in said CAVE.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for implementing virtual reality (VR) and / or mixed reality (MR) environments, and more particularly to immersive CAVE (cave-like automated virtual environment) implementations / architectures. Background technique [0002] The following description includes information that may assist in the understanding of the present invention. This description is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the claimed invention, nor is it an admission that any publication cited, either explicitly or implicitly, is prior art. [0003] Immersion in virtual reality is the perception of being physically present in a non-physical world. A VR system provides images, sounds, or other stimuli of an engaging overall environment that creates perception and envelops the user. Immersive virtual reality involves users immersing themselves in an artificial, computer-generated envir...
