The three-dimensional object forming method comprises the following steps that the liquid-state forming material in the containing tank is irradiated by utilizing a light source, so that a three-dimensional object is solidified on a mobile platform layer by layer; and in the process of performing irradiation, when a target position currently illuminated by the light source is located at a firstlayer adjacent to the mobile platform, the intensity of the light source is maintained to be the original intensity, when the target position is not located on the first layer adjacent to the mobile platform, on the basis of cutting layer data of a digital three-dimensional model, whether the side, opposite to the light source, of the target position is internally provided with a hollow layer which does not undergo curing in one preset number of layers or not is judged, and in the case that the hollow layer exists in the preset number of layers, according to the number of layers between the hollow layer and the target position, the intensity of the light source is adjusted and lowered correspondingly.
