Abstract

The invention discloses application of a natural active ingredient perillaldehyde in the prevention and treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis, and belongs to the technical field of medicine. The invention also discloses that the monoterpenoid compound perillaldehyde can be targeted to three major virulence factors of candida albicans: adhesion, hyphal phase transformation and secretion of hydrolase to inhibit the damage of candida albicans to the host and to achieve antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects by regulating the NLRP3 inflammasome in vivo.
