Embodiment 1

[0040] This embodiment proposes a method for providing resource configuration and access point selection strategies for multi-access edge computing, including an initial allocation method and an incremental allocation method.

[0041] S1, the initial allocation method: the input is the network topology information G(V,E), the capacity W of the network node v∈V v , the delay limit q for the IoT device request r r , resource request d r k , function service chain length l r , the output is the deployment policy of the network function in the edge server. The method is divided into two parts: the first part mainly deals with the position of the last VNF (Virtual Network Function) in the service chain for each IoT device's request. The second part addresses the deployment of the remaining network functions. details as follows:

[0042]The first part S11: the output is the selected S that can cover all IoT devices v (node v's coverage set for IoT devices) and (represen...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for providing resource configuration and access point selection strategies for multi-access edge computing. The method includes an initial allocation method and an incremental allocation method. The initial allocation method is used to jointly allocate resources in a wireless access point and an edge server from a global perspective to efficiently provide VNF-FGs.The incremental allocation method is used to quickly adjust AP (access) node selection strategies and system resource reallocation of each Internet of things equipment to cope with the variability ofInternet of Things equipment requests. According to the scheme of the invention, the optimal VNF (virtual network function) deployment position and the wireless access point accessed to the multi-access edge computing can be obtained under the dynamic workload, so that the low delay requirements of Internet of things services can be met, and meanwhile, the overall operating cost required in a timeperiod can be minimized.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of edge computing of the Internet of Things, in particular to a method for providing resource configuration and access point selection strategies for multi-access edge computing. Background technique [0002] Multi-access edge computing is a very promising technology to enhance the capabilities of the Internet of Things (IoT), and the use of network function virtualization (NFV) in edge computing can improve the execution efficiency of edge computing. But when using edge computing with network functions virtualization enabled to improve the quality of service of IoT devices, two new challenges arise due to the characteristics of the edge environment. First, how many functional service chains are required to satisfy geographically dispersed requests. By using consolidation strategies in virtualized network functions, resource provisioning costs can be greatly reduced, but at the same time, end-to-end latency will incr...
