Abstract

The detection method comprises the following steps: detecting a coming railway vehicle by adopting the geomagnetic sensor, forming a phased array ultrasonic flaw detection device by adopting the ultrasonic sensor group to perform flaw detection on the wheel set by a certain depth, performing image acquisition and recognition on the rim of the wheel set and the surface of the tread by virtue of the high-definition night vision camera group, recognizing the cracks and rusts on the rim and treadsurface, detecting the variation of the string of the wheel set by adopting an active infrared intrusion detector to calculate the variation of the wheel set diameter, and further judging the outer profile variation of the wheel set. The outer profile dimension parameters of the wheel set, particularly parameters of the tread and rim parts of the wheel set, can be effectively and accurately measured, and are compared with set safety thresholds, so that the wheel set deformation, tread defect positions and wheel polygons can be obtained.
