The high-silicon aluminum alloy comprises the following components of, in parts by weight, 13.5wt%-15.5wt% of Si, 0.55wt%-0.65wt% of Mg, 4.0wt%-5.0 wt% of Cu, less than or equal to 0.5wt% of Mn, less than or equal to 1.0wt% of Zn, less than or equal to 1.3wt% of Fe, less than or equal to0.5wt% of Ni, less than or equal to 0.3wt% of Sn, and balance Al. The modification process comprises the following steps of adding materials to a smelter and refining, adding a modifier for the firsttime, adding the modifier for the second time, degassing and refining solution. By means of the modification method, the high-silicon aluminum alloy with good modification and refinement effects and the deterioration effective time of more than 50 hours in the liquid state can be obtained, so that a product which is capable of avoiding secondary smelting and saving energy consumption can be provided for customers.
