[0059] The present inventors demonstrated that the combined use of an antibody against MUCl and an inhibitor of ErbB family receptors leads to an improved effect of destroying tumor cells, thereby improving the effect of treating cancer. Without being bound by this theory, it is believed that inhibition of ErbB receptors induces expression of MUCl in tumor cells. Thereby, the efficacy of the anti-MUCl antibody is enhanced.
