Abstract

The present invention relates to microphone arrays. The microphone array includes power supply circuitry including a switched mode power supply circuit (220) configured to generate at least two different levels of output voltage. At least one microphone circuit (230) includes a microphone transducer (235), an audio amplifier (234), and a switchable voltage regulator circuit (232) to power the amplifier (234). A voltage detector (231) switches the output voltage of the voltage regulator circuit (232) depending on the voltage provided by the switch mode power supply circuit (220).
