Abstract

A construction machine (1,3), which is a feeder vehicle (1) or a road finisher (3), comprises an operating platform (19), a material hopper (5), a conveyor belt system (11) and an electronic control system (21). The conveyor belt system (11) comprises a conveyor belt (9) and one or more weight sensors (23) which are configured to measure weight force of paving material (7) located on the conveyorbelt (9). In addition, the conveyor belt system (11) comprises one or more inclination sensors (29) which are configured to measure an inclination angle (alpha) and / or a roll angle (beta) of the conveyor belt system (11). The electronic control system (21) is configured to receive and process data from the one or more weight sensors (23) and the one or more inclination sensors (29) to calculate amass of the paving material (7).
