The process comprises the steps of: firstly, generating an unheated gear tooth profile curve according to gear basic parameters input bya computer and a position of one point on a heated gear tooth profile curve obtained through scanning by the computer; secondly, adjusting a button to control vertical and horizontal distances betweenas well as rotating and swing angles of a measuring hook and a measuring point, so that the tip position of the measuring hook is in contact with a to-be-measured point, the direction thereof is thesame as a normal direction of the to-be-measured point, and the contact pressure is greater than 220Pa; and recording a thermal expansion curve graph of a to-be-measured gear in real time as the to-be-measured gear is cooled, and completing the measurement operation.
