Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: receiving a message to be processed; performing data flow feature extraction on the to-be-processed message, and determining a first application category of a corresponding data flow by using a prediction neural network based on the extracted data flow features; for any data stream, obtaining apreset number of messages of the data stream from the to-be-processed messages, identifying a second application category of the data stream by using IPS software based on the preset number of messages of the data stream, and storing the second application category of the data stream; and when the first application classification of the data stream needs to be reported, if the stored second application classification of the data stream is different from the first application classification of the data stream, reporting the second application classification of the data stream. By applying theembodiment of the invention, the accuracy of application classification of reported data streams can be ensured.
