Abstract

The invention relates to a heat exchanger for a beverage preparation apparatus and the beverage preparation apparatus, wherein the beverage preparation apparatus is used for preparing a freshly brewedand cooled beverage. The heat exchanger has an internal flow path enables to-be-cooled beverage to flow therethrough, and an external flow path surronding the internal flow path, wherein an annular cavity formed between the internal and external flow paths allow a coolant to flow therethrough, the internal and external flow paths are separated by fluids, and are in relative thermal-contact. Herein, a build-in member is arranged in the internal flow path and extends along with the flowing direction, wherein the build-in member enables the to-be-cooled fluid inside the internal flow path to flow by. Through the build-in member, firstly, the volume of the interior of the internal flow path is reduced, and secondly, heat transfer is improved since the to-be-cooled fluid must flow through a gap between the build-in member and the internal flow path, so that better thermal-contact between the to-be-cooled fluid in the internal flow path and the coolant flowing through the external flow path.
