Abstract

The invention relates to a contact housing (14) for a charging socket (10) of a motor vehicle. The contact housing (14) includes a plug interface (12). The plug interface (12) is provided with a plurality of receiving openings (16) for receiving corresponding contact pins (18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30). The contact pins can be in contact with a charging plug to charge a battery of the motor vehicle,wherein the contact housing (14) is a multi-component injection molded part, the main body (40) of the contact housing is manufactured from a first component, and sealing regions (42) formed at leaston corresponding edges of the receiving openings (16) are manufactured (41) from a second component being more elastic than the first component. The invention further relates to the charging socket (10) with the contact housing (14) for a motor vehicle and a method for producing the charging socket (10).
