Abstract

The invention provides a calibration method for a multifunctional Stokes-Mueller matrix imaging polarizer. The method can achieve the precise calibration of a reflection system, a transmission systemand all elements of the system by employing an intrinsic value calibration method. According to the invention, the system is calibrated by adopting a primary eigenvalue calibration method and a step-by-step eigenvalue calibration method; high-precision measurement of a polarizer is realized; independent calibration of all devices in the system is completed; the error of each element can be determined, and the error chain of the whole system is determined; and finally, the measurement precision of the instrument is improved. The calibration method is simple to operate, high in feasibility and high in calibration precision.
