The method comprises the steps: determining the biogas consumption of biogas needing to be combusted by the biogas boiler under the rated load; determining initial design parameters of the biogas combustor, wherein the initial design parameters comprise an initial excess air coefficient and an initial rotational flow angle; determining at least two candidate coefficients according to a preset coefficient step length and the initial excess air coefficient; for each candidate coefficient, calculating a first section average temperature of a hearth outlet of the biogas combustor according to the biogas consumption, the candidate coefficient and the initial rotational flow angle; and determining the candidate coefficient corresponding to the minimum average temperature of the first section as the optimal excess air coefficient of the biogas combustor.
