Problems solved by technology

Most of the existing literature is to quantize the LLR of the channel input and the internal LLR separately, and the quantization value is divided into an integer part and a fractional part. The quantization process is relatively complicated, which is not conducive to the realization of hardware.
[0004] Aiming at the problems of decoding performance loss and high decoding complexity in SC decoding algorithm based on uniform quantization, the present invention proposes a fast and simplified SC decoding algorithm based on uniform quantization polar code

Abstract

The invention relates to a polarization code fast simplification SC decoding algorithm based on uniform quantization and special node identification. According to the algorithm, the data type of an input variable of a traditional SC decoding algorithm is changed, and an original floating point type is changed into an integer type for operation, so that a large amount of storage space can be saved, hardware implementation of an SC decoder is facilitated, and the decoding performance of the improved SC decoding algorithm is improved through recognition of special nodes. Simulation results show that when the block error rate of the improved SC decoding algorithm is 10<-5>, the signal-to-noise ratio of the improved SC decoding algorithm is increased by 0.08 dB compared with that of an originalSC decoding algorithm based on uniform quantization. Therefore, the decoding scheme has a certain reference value for hardware implementation of the SC decoder.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of signal processing and relates to a decoding algorithm of polar codes in channel decoding. This method is mainly to improve the SC decoding algorithm based on uniform quantization and special node recognition. Background technique [0002] Polar code is a new type of coding method, which was first proposed by Professor Arikan of Bilkent University in Turkey in 2008. It is a new star in the coding field as a code construction method that can realize the capacity of symmetrical binary input discrete memory-less channels. As a channel coding technology that can be theoretically proven to reach the Shannon limit and has practical linear complexity coding and decoding capabilities, polar codes were held at the 3GPP RAN1#87 meeting in Reno, Nevada, USA on November 18, 2016. 3GPP has determined the polar code scheme mainly promoted by Huawei and other Chinese companies as the control channel coding scheme for 5G enhanced ...
