The preparation method of the flame-retardant shaving board comprises the following steps of firstly, drying wood shavings until the moisture content is 2%-4%, then blending the urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive, and preparing the modified flame retardant; weighing the wood shavings, the prepared urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive and the modified flame retardant according to the mass ratio; and sequentially adding the prepared urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive and the modified flame retardant while stirring the wood shavings, uniformly stirring, paving, pre-pressing, hot-pressing, cooling, trimming and sanding to obtain the flame-retardant shaving board. According tothe flame-retardant shaving board prepared through the method, the flame retardant is evenly dispersed, the flame retardant property is improved, and meanwhile the physical and mechanical propertiesof the flame-retardant shaving board can be guaranteed; and the method has no adverse effect on curing of the urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive, and can quickly adapt to the production process and technique of the existing shaving board.
