The system comprises a data acquisition instrument and a remote monitoring center; thedata acquisition instrument comprises a Beidou module and a temperature measuring string; the Beidou module is used for positioning, transmitting ground temperature data and receiving instructions; the Beidou module comprises a Beidou positioning module and a Beidou short message module; the temperature measuring string comprises a cable connected with a plurality of temperature sensors, is positioned in a drill hole and is used for acquiring ground temperature data of different depths; the remote monitoring center comprises a remote receiving system which comprises a Beidou module used for receiving the ground temperature data and issuing a monitoring instruction and a GPRS module used for transmitting the received ground temperature data to the Internet and then sending the ground temperature data to a monitoring computer. According to the system and method of the invention, a single-bus temperature measurement system is selected to carry out temperature testing; a Beidou short message communication protocol is self-defined, and the monitored ground temperature data is sent back to the monitoring center through the Beidou short message communication module and is stored in an SQL Server database.
