Problems solved by technology

In the manual identification of a large number of spider specimens, a lot of labor is required, and a large number of spider taxonomic documents need to be consulted. The identification speed is slow and time-consuming
Some spider specimens have been damaged before identification due to the evaporation of the alcohol solution soaking the specimens due to long-term storage
In addition, multiple studies on spider specimens in identification will also deepen the damage to spider specimens

[0036] Example: A method for rapid identification of the willow-leaf silver-spotted spider using computer technology

[0037] (1) Establish a picture database of all known spider species.

[0038] (2) Take pictures of the spider to be identified, including: the dorsal and ventral views of the spider's cephalothorax; the dorsal and ventral views of the spider's abdomen; the dorsal or ventral views of the palps or genitalia; the dorsal and ventral views of the whole spider View pictures.

[0039] (3) Compare the spider photos taken with the established spider photo database.

[0040] (4) The spider's palps were enlarged and skeletalized, so it was identified that the spider was mature and male.

[0041] (5) Identification of the suborder of mature spiders. According to the pictures, since there are 3 pairs of spinnerets on the ventral surface of the abdomen of the spider to be identified, and the spinnerets are located at the rear end of the abdomen, the spider to be identifi...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for quickly identifying spider species by using a computer image recognition technology. The method specifically comprises the following steps: (1) establishing a known spider category group subcategory, family, genus and species picture database according to a spider catalog; (2) photographing important characteristics of a spider specimen to be identified; (3) inputting the photographed picture into a computer, and comparing and identifying the photographed picture with a built spider picture database; (4) identifying whether spider individuals are mature ornot, leaving mature spider individuals, and eliminating immature spider individuals; (5) identifying male and female sexes of mature spider individuals; (6) identifying a subcategory to which a maturespider individual belongs; (7) identifying the family to which the mature spider individuals belong; (8) identifying the genus to which the mature spider individuals belong; (9) identifying species to which mature spider individuals belong; and (10) outputting detailed recognition information, and if the species cannot be identified, marking the species as a new species. An accurate recognition technology of a computer for images is applied to recognition of massive spider specimens for the first time, so that consultation of massive related literatures by spider classification learners can be greatly reduced, the workload of the spider classification learners is reduced, and the spider species recognition efficiency, speed and accuracy are improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of spider taxonomy, and in particular relates to a method for quickly identifying spider species by using computer image recognition technology. Background technique [0002] Spiders belong to Arthropoda Arachnida, which is a large group of animals with many types and large numbers. Up to now, the total known spider species in the world are divided into 128 families, 4173 genera, and 48643 species. There are still a large number of unknown species that have not been discovered and identified in the world. [0003] Spiders are excellent predators and one of the important natural enemies of agricultural and forestry pests; spider morphology, spider silk / web are one of the important contents of materials and bionics research; spidroin protein has broad development prospects in the military and medical fields; spider Toxins are a great potential resource for discovering new bioactive molecules, which have important appli...
