The invention relates to an object number estimation device, an object number estimation method, and a storage medium, which can estimate the number of objects with high precision. An object number estimation device is provided with an acquisition unit, a setting unit, and an estimation unit. Acquisition unit acquires image. The setting unit sets a local region size, which is an object number estimation unit in the image, on the basis of the image.
