Abstract

The invention provides a data retransmission method and a communication device. The method comprises the steps of: when a sending end device sends data to a receiving end device and contains newly-transmitted data and retransmitted data at the same time, enabling the sending end device to adopt an independent MCS and an independent encoding mode for the newly-transmitted data and the retransmitteddata respectively, and sending the newly-transmitted data and the retransmitted data to the receiving end device through an implicit or explicit mode; and indicating the MCS and the coding mode respectively adopted by the newly transmitted data and the retransmitted data to a receiving end device. Therefore, the receiving end device demodulates the newly transmitted data and the retransmitted data respectively by adopting the respective MCS and encoding mode indicated by the transmitting end device, so that the reliability of data transmission can be improved.
