The automatic locating breadth-variable weft insertion device comprises a weft cutter lifting mechanism, a yarn pressing mechanism, a weft cutter mechanism, a weft cutter horizontal moving mechanism and a rapier feeding mechanism which are installed on a rack, wherein the weft cutter lifting mechanism, the yarn pressing mechanism, the weft cutter mechanism and the weft cutter horizontal moving mechanism are located on one side of the rack; the rapier feeding mechanism is located on the other side of the rack; the weft cutter horizontal moving mechanism can drive the weft cutter lifting mechanism to horizontally move frontwards and backwards; the yarn pressing mechanism and the weft cutter mechanism can move up and down along the weft cutter lifting mechanism; the rapier feeding mechanism comprises a yarn clamping mechanism, a rapier, a rapier feeding linear module and a rapier lifting mechanism; the rapier feeding linear module can drive the yarn clamping mechanism and the rapier to horizontally move frontwards and backwards; and the rapier lifting mechanism can drive the yarn clamping mechanism and the rapier to move up and down.
