Abstract

A glass plate molding device comprises: a first mold upon which glass plate is supported; at least one second mold clamped to the first mold; at least one preheating stage that preheats a glass plate supported by the first mold; at least one molding stage that molds the heated glass plate between the first mold and the second mold; at least one cooling stage that gradually cools the molded glass plate; and a mold transfer unit that transfers the first mold, in order, between the preheating stage, the molding stage, and the cooling stage. The second mold in the molding stage abuts the glass plate only at the outer circumference of the glass, between the first and second molds.
