An on-line acoustic monitoring and diagnosis method for broken teeth faults of planetary gearboxes. The method intercepts sound pressure signals of multiple working cycles of planetary gearboxes through shearing, filtering and normalizing preprocessing methods; uses multi-resolution singular value decomposition method to analyze The preprocessed sound pressure signal is decomposed, the optimal decomposition layer number is set, and multiple components are obtained through decomposition; according to the structure of the planetary gearbox, the theoretical fault characteristic frequency of broken teeth is calculated, and a reference signal is constructed based on this, and the autoregression is designed using the reference signal. The model selects the fault component from multiple components; performs envelope spectrum analysis on the fault component, calculates the amplitude ratio of the fault characteristic frequency spectrum line and the entire spectrum line, and sets the threshold value of the amplitude ratio.
