The range hood comprises a fan and a controller, and further comprises a gesture sensing area formed by gesture sensing devices, and the controller pre-stores fan rotating speed gears corresponding to gesture sensing signals; the controller is used for adjusting the fan to the corresponding rotating speed gear according to the gesture sensing signals received within preset time; and the gesture sensing signals are generated when a gesture passes through the gesture sensing area. Therefore, the user can adjust the rotating speed of the fan from the current rotating speed gear to any needed rotating speed gear by making one gesture action, and the user operation complexity when the rotating speed of the fan is adjusted is reduced.
