Abstract

A monitoring system (10) includes a video assembly (24) comprising at least one camera (26) positioned in a predetermined area and configured to transmit a real-time video feed of a physical location in the predetermined area. The monitoring system (10) further includes a control system (16) configured to receive the real-time video feed from the at least one camera (26). The control system (16) includes a memory device (68) and a processor (66) configured to generate a virtual model (62) of a predetermined area based on instructions stored on the memory device (68), wherein the processor (66) is configured to incorporate the real-time video feed into the virtual model (62) at a virtual location in the virtual model (62) corresponding to the physical location in the predetermined area. The control system (16) also includes a display unit (64) configured to display the virtual model (62).
