[0033] figure 1 is a diagram depicting a schematic configuration of a system according to the first embodiment of the present invention. As shown, the sensor system 10A includes a sensor module 100 and an image processing device 200A. The sensor module 100 includes a sensor array including a first sensor 111 and a second sensor 112 assigned to each pixel and a signal processing circuit 120 (event signal processing section). For example, the image processing device 200A is realized by a computer having a communication interface, a processor, and a memory. The image processing apparatus 200A includes a time difference acquisition section 210A and a gradation calculation section 220A, both realized by a processor that operates according to a program stored in a memory or received via a communication interface. The image processing apparatus 200A may further include functional sections of an image generation section 230 and a delay time calculation section 240 . These component...

[0059] Figure 7 is a diagram depicting a schematic configuration of a system according to a second embodiment of the present invention. In the example shown, the sensor system 10B includes a sensor module 300 and an image processing device 200A. The sensor module 300 includes a sensor array including a stacked sensor 310 assigned to each pixel and a signal processing circuit 320 (event signal processing section). Note that the configuration of the image processing device 200A is similar to that of the above-described first embodiment, and thus description of the image processing device 200A will be omitted. These components are explained in more detail below.

[0060] The stack sensor 310 has a first light receiving layer 311 constituting a first sensor and a second light receiving layer 312 constituting a second sensor stacked one on top of the other. The first light receiving layer 311 is arranged on the light incident side, that is, close to the object. Light from the ...

[0069] Figure 9 is a diagram depicting a schematic configuration of a system according to a third embodiment of the present invention. Figure 9 The example in is interpreted as referenced above Figure 8A modification of the example discussed. That is, in the present embodiment, the sensor system 10C includes a sensor module 300 including a sensor 310 having a four-layer structure and an image processing device 200C. The sensor module 300 includes a sensor array including a stacked sensor 310 as described above in the second embodiment and a signal processing circuit 320 . The image processing device 200C is realized by, for example, a computer having a communication interface, a processor, and a memory. The image processing apparatus 200C includes functional sections of an event signal association section 210C and a gradation determination section 220C, which are implemented by a processor operating according to a program stored in a memory or received via a communicatio...

Abstract

A sensor system is provided that includes a sensor array and an event signal processing unit. The sensor array includes a first sensor that detects fluctuations in the amount of light at a first pixel address with a first sensitivity and a second sensor that detects fluctuations in the amount of light at a second pixel address with a second sensitivity, the second pixel address being adjacent to or coincident with the first pixel address, the second sensitivity is lower than the first sensitivity. The event signal processing section outputs information indicating a difference between times at which the first sensor and the second sensor each generate an event signal for a luminance fluctuation event.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a sensor system, an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program. Background technique [0002] Image sensors such as Charge Coupled Devices (CCD) and Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductors (CMOS) are each synchronous solid-state image sensors that pick up image data (frames) in synchronization with a synchronization signal such as a vertical synchronization signal. A common synchronous solid-state image sensor acquires image data only at each period (for example, 1 / 60 second) of a synchronous signal. This can cause problems, for example, when moving objects use image data for high-speed processing. In view of this, NPL 1 et al proposed an asynchronous solid-state image sensor with an address event representation (AER) circuit that detects address events. [0003] With the asynchronous solid-state image sensor described above, an address event occurs when the amount of light at a given pixel ad...
