Abstract

Methods and systems are provided for showing a cursor for user interaction on a display device. In the method, a reference position to be initialized at the end of a ray projection emitted from the user side is determined. A target location is determined that moves with a body part of a user. The target position is different from the reference position. A modified position is determined based on the reference position and the target position. The reference position, the target position and the modified position are located on the same plane parallel to the user side. The modified location is different from the target location. The modified position is used as the current position of the cursor. The modified position represents the position of the end of the ray projection currently emitted from the user side. Thus, the cursor may be stabilized in augmented reality.
