Abstract

The invention relates to a method for a vehicle, an autonomous vehicle and a storage medium. A method of vehicle operation using behavioral rule check includes receiving first sensor data from a first sensor of a vehicle and second sensor data from a second sensor. The first sensor data represents operation of the vehicle according to the first trajectory. The second sensor data represents at least one object. A first behavior rule for violating the operation for the first trajectory is determined based on the first sensor data and the second sensor data. The first behavior rule has a first priority. A plurality of alternative trajectories are generated using the control barrier function. A second trajectory is identified that violates a second behavior rule having a second priority that is less than the first priority. In response to identifying the second trajectory, a message is sent to control circuitry of the vehicle to operate the vehicle based on the second trajectory.
