But as a rule, the excitation of the mechanical system leads to resonance in the resonant frequency region, which leads to the appearance of resonance peaks, which have a negative effect on the response characteristics and the response of the optical scanning device to the control signal

[0028] The same annotation symbols are used in all figures. Figure 11 It is a schematic diagram of a known objective lens holder OH, said holder is fixed on a known pallet HP by wires W, and four wires W fixed on the known pallet HP support the objective lens holder OH, on which there is a An objective lens O for focusing and tracking a light beam or a laser beam on an optical recording medium, and a coil SP for deflecting the objective lens O. The wire W, which serves as a support element, now acts as a flexible support for the objective holder OH and at the same time supplies power to the coil SP on the objective holder OH. The objective holder OH on the tray HP is supported by four wires W, the tray HP has a rectangular surface, see Figure 12 , connected to the piece S on the chassis G, and the piece S protrudes from the chassis G at a suitable angle. Then, see Figure 12 , the coil SP located at the groove of the objective lens holder OH moves to a position where it c...

Abstract

The invention relates to an optical scanning device having an improved response characteristic, for use in an apparatus for optically reading or writing information in one or more tracks on a recording medium. The object of the invention is to provide an optical scanning device which, without any electronic compensation means, very largely avoids resonance peaks and has an improved response characteristic. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a retaining plate which supports the objective lens of the scanning device via bearing elements and has at least one cutout, which separates the mounting points, in the surface which holds the bearing elements for the objective lens holder. The field of application of the invention is optical scanning devices having an improved response characteristic for use in equipment for reading or writing information on an optical recording medium, (such as a CD, DVD, a CD or DVD which can be written to, or else a magneto-optical recording medium).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention describes an optical scanning device with improved response characteristics which can be used on record carriers such as compact discs, so-called CDs; digital versatile discs, so-called DVDs, writable CDs or DVDs, Or other devices for reading and writing information on a single-track or multi-track magneto-optical recording medium. Background technique [0002] Scanning devices for optical recording media are well known. The structure and operation of the optical scanning device of the so-called optical pickup has been introduced in "Electronic Components & Applications" (Electronic Components & Applications, Vol. 6, No. 4, 1984, p209-215). Such a scanning device has a so-called exciter on which an objective lens is used for tracking and focusing of a light or laser beam on the optical recording medium. In principle, optical scanning devices can be differentiated according to how the objective lens is suspended. For example, in...
